Bookkeeping
Accurate bookkeeping is crucial to being on top of your business. No matter what size your business recording your transactions helps keep on top of where your business is and allows best informed decisions on your financial options.

Going digital
We like to encourage as many of our customers as possible to move towards digital record keeping, this is something we are actively promoting and will help with every stage of the process.
We will help you identify the correct software or system for you and offer training and guidance all the way. We have found this to be very successful with many clients now using an online accounting software to record their business transactions.
The key advantage to these online software packages are that you can complete some tasks and we can also log on and check, enter and complete the other tasks. All in one package, we work as a team and this can be tailored just for you.
We have also started to encourage our clients to use the accounting app’s available for snapping their receipts and uploading direct onto accounting software, this makes it even easier to keep up to date and lowers the risk of misplacing those little receipts.
We support all size of businesses with bookkeeping whether you are a soletrade electrician or a large scaffolding company with several workers. With most accountancy and bookkeeping moving digital we find location is no barrier we can support you wherever you are based.

Our Bookkeeping Team

I have been with the company for over 10 years in the bookkeeping and payroll department. I have seen us grow in this department with the work and the team members.
With a wide client base who I enjoy working closely with to get the VAT returns, CIS Returns, Payroll and bookkeeping processed.
I work with a lot of clients to get them up and running on their own bookkeeping, so they feel that they can still be in control but supported when they need it.
Before Barwell Accountants
I went straight into accountancy when I finished school, my experience is in both practise and industry.
Away from the office
I enjoy fitness, travelling and home décor. A black lab called Chester and a collie called Pat also keep me busy on time away from the office.

I joined the company in 2020 after doing a business college course and taking an interest in accounts after experiencing a small factor of it.
I work in the payroll and bookkeeping department whilst also doing my level 3 advanced diploma in accounting with AAT. Within the short time I have worked here I have developed working relationships with clients as well as my colleagues and love working as part of the team.
I have enjoyed growing my knowledge more each day and learning new aspects to the job to meet the needs of clients which I work with.
Before Barwell Accountants
I worked in hospitality from the age of 15 onwards whilst in education before I began my employment with Barwell accountants.
Away from the office
Outside of work I really enjoy spending time with my horse Bounty. He is a palomino Welsh section D who loves rides in the forest. I love going on holiday – especially when I can take Bounty with me!

I have recently joined the company but have been connected to the company for over 12 years. I currently support all staff with administration and will often be the voice at the end of the phone.
I am also experienced in bookkeeping, VAT and payroll and provide support to the team with some of these jobs.
Before Barwell Accountants
I worked as an office manager for my brother’s haulage business, which involved day to day running of the business, bookkeeping, and keeping up to date with the industry.
Away from the office
I enjoy long walks and being out in the fresh air. I love spending time with the family and watching football whether its on the TV, watching my son or husband.
