Make sure your payroll keeps up with new wage rates…
The National Minimum Wage increases on October 1st – good news for people on low wages, but it is equally important for employers to make sure they are up-to-date with their payroll.
The National Minimum Wage (NMW) is the minimum pay per hour almost all workers are entitled to by law. It doesn’t matter how small an employer is, they still have to pay the minimum wage. The NMW rate per hour depends upon your age – you must be at least of school leaving age for it to apply – and whether you are classified as an apprentice.
